Rev. King Moved To Katsina Prison – Convicted for Setting Church Members Ablaze

Rev King

For organising prayer sessions for devotees and causing undue tension at Kaduna Prisons, condemned  founder  of Christian Praying Assembly, Rev. Chukwuemeka Ezeugo, popularly known as Rev. King, has been transferred to  Kastina Prison.

Although prison authorities in Kaduna, Northcentral Nigeria, have not officially revealed his whereabouts, prison sources informed us  that he was moved to Katsina Prison because a large number of his church members including notable politicians, always visit him in Kaduna for prayers, which became a source of concern to the prison authorities.
King, who was sentenced to death by hanging for the murder of a female member of his church, has appealed against the conviction and is awaiting judgement. But while he remains in prison, his devotees and some influential members of his church have been working hard to ensure that his death sentence was reversed.
One of the sources, who did not want his name mentioned, said: “The man is just too influential among his adherents. We see different people, both high and low class, visit him for prayers.”
According to the source, when the prison authorities became uncomfortable with how his devotees visit him for prayers, causing tension in the prison, they decided to move him far north to an unknown prison where nobody can see him.
Efforts to get official information on his whereabouts at the time of filing this story were futile as all the senior personnel declined to talk on any matter regarding him, saying his case is still pending in court.
Rev. King was sentenced to death by hanging in 2007 by Justice Olubunmi Oyewole of the Ikeja High Court on a 5-count charge of murder.
The bearded General Overseer of Christian Praying Assembly (CPA) at Canal View Street, Ajao Estate was convicted for setting fire on seven members of his church whom he accused of fornication.
One of them, Ann King, died as a result of injuries sustained in the fire.
During the trial, witnesses, who were mostly his church members, narrated how Reverend King turned them to sex toys. The principal witness in the matter, Kelechi King, in her gory account told the court how she had aborted four pregnancies for the self-acclaimed ‘god’.
She also revealed how Reverend King made her denounce her family and how she served him as his maid, attending to him naked.
On the incident that led to the death of Ann, almost all the prosecution witnesses corroborated the fact that Rev. King actually set them on fire by pouring fuel on them.
They also told the court that on the said date, Rev. King gathered them together in his house following allegations that they were committing fornication in his house, an allegation they all denied.
Another prosecution witness, Olisa Chiejina, told the court then how the accused operated a “Lord Army”, an outfit he said Rev. King uses to intimidate and harass members of his church.
After his conviction, Reverend King was taken to the Kirikiri Prisons where he was put on death row. His lawyers, however, immediately filed an appeal to forestall his execution. The appeal is still pending. While awaiting his appeal, he was accused of having sexual intercourse with female guests even in prison. The allegation subsequently led to his transfer to Kuje Prisons in Abuja before he was moved to Kaduna Prisons again.

Wickenedness – Chef Admits to Slow-Cooking Wife’s Body for four days After Killing Her

chef slow cook wife body

A California chef has admitted to the murder of his wife and, even more gruesomely, to disposing of the body in an appropriate fashion: by slow-cooking her for four days.
That’s what a jury is hearing in the Southern California trial of David Viens, who is accused of killing his 39-year-old wife Dawn on October 18, 2009.
Investigators were never able to find her body, and new audiotapes being played for the court shed light on the reason why they may never be able to.
According to NBC , the 49-year-old chef at the former Thyme Contemporary CafĂ© in Lomita, Calif., reportedly confessed to two detectives in March 2011, detailing how he allegedly used his kitchen skills to butcher his wife’s body. He then allegedly put the 105-pound woman’s remains in a metal drum, added water, and turned up the heat.
“I took some, some things like weights that we use and I put them on the top of her body, and I just slowly cooked it and I ended up cooking her for four days,” Viens said on the tape.
Dawn allegedly died when her husband, after an argument, tied up her arms and legs and put duct tape over her mouth. He said he had no idea what to do when he found her dead the next morning – so he seems to have taken a page out of his cookbook. “I cooked her four days, I let her cool, I strained it out,” he explained in the confession.
His confession notes that he mixed her remains with cooking grease at restaurant. He said he stuffed other body parts into garbage bags and tossed it out with the trash. The only part remaining, he stated on the tape, was her skull, which was supposedly stashed in his mother’s attic, though investigators were unable to find it after a search.
Viens has pleaded not guilty to killing his wife. But the tapes, recorded in March 2011, reveal Viens’ confession to the murder. He gave the interview to two detectives while being treated at a Los Angeles hospital after an alleged suicide attempt.
In February 2011, Viens jumped off an 80-foot cliff on the Pacific coast after evidence was released that implicated him in his wife’s death. Still ailing from the jump, he has attended the trial in a wheelchair.

I Suspected My Husband of 3 year Cheating, So I Set Him Up & I Was Right!

woman-upset-at-computer

Dear MJ,
Hello MJ! I always enjoy your articles and your honesty. I’m having problems with my marriage.
I don’t trust him and I am fed up! My husband and I have been together for three years, but married for one.
We have one son, and now I am pregnant with our second child. When we first met everything was perfect. He is in the military, and in our first year he had to be away for five months.
When he came back we moved in together. After moving in I became pregnant with our son, and the first month of my pregnancy I found Facebook messages of him flirting with other women. I was ready to leave him, but he begged me to stay and deleted his account. So, I did.
Then 6 months into my pregnancy I found in his phone that he had a website account with Mocospace and was flirting again with other women. Once again he begged me to stay, and stupid me I did. I found other things such as pr0n and him messaging females. He had a really bad car accident and almost lost his life, so he promised me he was a changed man. We began going to church and everything was going great. I was beginning to trust him again.
So, recently I haven’t been getting a good feeling whenever he leaves for his military trips. He is always texting and he rarely calls, so my gut feeling was telling me something was not right. I was always told to go with that gut feeling. I downloaded a texting app and decided to pretend to be a pretty female he knows.
I found this random girl that went to his high school, and I began texting him. He knew the girl and I found out he knows her sister as well. He said him and her sister was planning to chill and that they chilled the last time he was in town, which was before our son’s birthday. He also said he used to mess around with her sister in 2007, even if we weren’t together in 2007 why would you as a married man hang out with a woman you messed around with or even be friends with her?
But, to make this short, I got him to flirt and send a picture of himself and he wanted to see a picture of her body. So, when I confronted him and told him I set him up he said him and his friend was making fun of the girl, but I don’t believe it. This is the second pregnancy he has done this to me.
I know I don’t deserve this because I am a good faithful woman. Right now we are separated, but he wants to talk to our pastor to see if we can work it out. I agreed to talk to our pastor, but depending on how I feel afterward is if we stay married or not.
Do you think I shouldn’t give him a chance? Or, should I talk to our pastor to see if we can work it out? I am confused because I feel like he will never change, but I love him. I really need help with this.

I Caught My Husband Videotaping My Little Sister While She Was Showering – Should I Forget Him

MY husband video taping my sister

Dear MJ,
I caught my husband videotaping my little sister while she was taking a shower. I caught him, and he apologized. He said that he didn’t know what came over him. He asked for a second chance .

I also found some unclad pictures and videos on his phone. I asked him to delete them, which he did, however, I never forgave him for my sister. Should I? Should I trust him? And, on top of it, I never asked what he wanted to do with the video? Is it late to ask him now? Please help.

Woman Accused of Trying to Saw Off Sleeping Husband’s Head

Renee Bishop-McKean

A Washington State woman who is accused of trying to saw off her husband’s head while he slept is on trial this week on charges of attempted murder.

Renee Bishop-McKean was arrested in Everett, Wash., in October after her husband, Brett Bishop, awoke in the middle of the night to find her standing over him with a hand-held electric sabre saw, according to a probable cause affidavit filed in court.
In an attempted-murder trial this week in Everett, the prosecution said Bishop-McKean, 44, plotted the attack for weeks, buying plastic sheets, bleach and garbage bags to clean up the scene, according to ABC News
Bishop-McKean and her husband had been separated but were living together once again on the night of the attack, according to court documents.
Brett Bishop went to sleep first that night, but awoke to the sound of an electric saw revving above him. When he awoke, Bishop-McKean was standing over him, according to the affidavit.
“Renee came at me in the kitchen with the Sawzall [saw] raised up, we had a struggle over it. She kept pulling the trigger to make it run, so I reached out and pulled the battery out of it,” he said in court, according to KOMO.
After the struggle, Bishop-McKean allegedly hit him with a mallet and a hatchet. He was later treated at a hospital for cuts and scrapes, including stitches, the documents said.
Bishop-McKean told police on the night of the attack that she and her husband had both been attacked by an intruder. Her attorney, Ken Lee, told ABC News today that she stands by that story and denies that she tried to kill her husband.
Prosecutors told the jury that if Bishop-McKean had equipped the saw with a sharper blade or aimed the saw closer to her husband’s neck, he might not have had the ability to fend off the attack and would likely be dead, according to the affidavit.
Bishop-McKean is charged with first-degree attempted murder and first-degree domestic violence assault in connection with the attack. Lee declined to provide an opening statement during the trial, and told ABC News that the trial is expected to wrap up Thursday.

Married woman dies while committing adultery!

woman dies fornicating

A married man, Amaechi Uche Padmore, has been arrested and charged to a Lagos court on the allegation that his lover, Edith Nwokolo, another man’s wife, died while he was having sex with her.

Uche is now facing a murder charge at Ebute Metta Magistrate’s court, Lagos over her death.
The lovers, who are both married, engaged in sex romp at 94, Mushin Road, Mushin, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria. It was gathered that while Uche was on top of Edith, she started breathing heavily, jerked and died.
They were reported to have dated each other before they got married to different spouses.
Sources said immediately the incident happened, Uche, who has three kids, abandoned his pant and shoes and fled. Edith was found dead on top of her bed and a neigbour who saw Uche with her before she died, raised the alarm and the matter was reported to the police at Olosan Division.
He was arrested and arraigned on Wednesday for murder before the presiding Magistrate, Mr. T. Aborinwa under section 221 of the criminal code law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2011.
Her death triggered controversy as the deceased woman’s family insisted that Uche was responsible. But the autopsy report presented at the court showed that she died of heart related problem. When the matter came up at the court, Uche pleaded not guilty.
The presiding magistrate granted him bail since the autopsy showed she died as a result of heart problem.

Vote out bad leaders – Jonathan tells Nigerians

PRESIDENT Goodluck Jonathan has told Nigerians that they should be able to utilise the power of the voter card to get rid of bad leaders in government, saying that it was with this in mind that his administration decided to sanitise the electoral process to ensure that the wish of the people prevailed at elections.

Speaking during the inauguration of the second edition of the Youth Enterprise with Innovation in Nigeria (YouWin!) for women in the State House, Abuja, on Monday, he explained that it was necessary to reform the electoral process to make it relevant to the people’s aspirations.
According to him, “we feel that for a political dispensation to be relevant to the people and to endure, the electoral process must be sanitised. The voter card of Nigerians must make them vote out the bad politicians. That is the only way we politicians will be committed and do what is right.
“And for that we promised to change the electoral process. We have not reached where we want to go but Nigerians and, indeed, all people that have been monitoring our elections have observed that this is a different face of Nigeria and we will continue to improve on it.”
He expressed his administration’s commitment to tackling corruption even as he observed that those who shout about corruption in the country were some of the most corrupt in the country.
The president noted: “In this country, these days, people talk about corruption. Sometimes those who are corrupt even shout more about corruption but we are tackling it gradually. If you look at the agriculture sector where scandals of procurement of fertilisers and tractors and other scandals were going on, we have stopped that. In the oil sector, we are going to stop it. Gradually, this will thin down. We cannot change the society overnight but we have to take it step by step.”
On the YouWin! programme, he noted that the second edition which was launched on Monday, would focus specifically on women, because women were considered as better managers of funds and, therefore, could make better impact in entrepreneurial endeavours.
He also stressed that the programme was designed to empower youths from the six geopolitical zones, irrespective of political or religious affiliations and, therefore, directed the Ministry of Women Affairs to work with the ministries of finance and communication technology and youth development to mobilise women entrepreneurs to participate competitively in the programme.
In her remarks earlier, Coordinating Minister for the Economy and Minister of Finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, pointed out that about 933 of the 1,200 beneficiaries of the first batch of YouWin! award winners had received the first tranche of about N1.03 billion of their award funds since the disbursement commenced in July this year.
The minister added that since the YouWin! programme was kicked off in October last year, it had attracted ideas and innovation from Nigerian youth entrepreneurs noting that about 6,000 of them had been trained.
Dr Okonjo-Iweala said in order to keep track of jobs created under the programme, the awardees had developed mechanism for capturing information on jobs created and would report the number to the public on regular basis.
Also speaking, Minister of Women Affairs, Hajia Salamatu Maina, said the YouWin! women progra-mme had heralded another landmark in the quest of the present administration to empower the Nigerian women economically, particularly young women.
While noting that Nigerian women were actively engaged in different sectors of the nation’s economy, she, however, regretted that legal and customary barriers, ownership or access to land and natural resources, capital, credit and technology, including other discriminations, had impeded their economic lives.

Angry Son machetes father to death in Enugu

machete with blood

Tragedy struck at Obodoukwu Imoha, Nkerefi community in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu weekend, when a young man allegedly went berserk and inflicted several machete cuts on his father, killing him instantly.

The suspect identified by the police as Chinedu Umahi, was said to have killed his father, Mr. Uwanuakwa Umahi while he was resting in his house about 6 pm on Saturday, September 1, with a sharp machete with which he gave him deep cuts in his body.
The police said in Enugu that the man became unconscious following severe bleeding and was rushed to a hospital at Agbani in the neighbouring Nkanu West Local Government Area where he died few hours later. Chinedu is now said to be in police custody where he had allegedly admitted killing his father.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, confirmed the incident yesterday, saying that the command has already commenced investigations into the incident.
He said: “We are investigating an incident in which a son gave his father several machete cuts at Obodoukwu Imoha, Nkerefi in Nkanu East local Government Area of the state for a yet to be established reason. The victim, one Uwanuakwa Umahi was alleged to have been macheted by his own son Chinedu.
“The victim was said to be resting in his house that fateful day when his son suddenly came in and started cutting him with the machete. The man tried to escape through the window but he could not because of severe injuries he had already sustained hence he became unconscious. The man was later rushed to the General Hospital Agbani for treatment but he was confirmed dead.”

My wife disappeared for months only to return with ‘mystery baby’ – Carpenter tells Lagos Court

mystery baby rejected

A carpenter, Mr. Sanjo Ekeola, stunned an Agege Grade A Customary Court when he said he was not the biological father of their fourth child. Meanwhile the wife denied the allegation.
The 45-year-old man said he decided not to have sex with his wife, Taiwo, for over three months before she left home on November 25, 2011 and returned February 18, 2012.
“When she returned home, l noticed she was not feeling fine, and, when I confronted her, she confessed to me that she was pregnant”, Ekeola said.
The plaintiff added that he knew quite well that the pregnancy was not his own, and advised her to go and look for the father of the child.
According to him, he was surprised when his wife called him on phone later to say she had put to bed and he should come and pick the placenta of the baby.
Ekeola therefore urged the court to dissolve the marriage and grant him custody of the three children except the fourth child.
Taiwo denied the allegation and informed the court that her husband encouraged her to abort the pregnancy, but she refused, adding that he also suggested that she should move out because his elder sister must not know about the fourth pregnancy.
The mother of four said trouble started when her husband began reporting whatever happened between them to his elder sister, saying, since then, they lived like cat and mouse. She pleaded that the court should not dissolve the marriage as she insisted that Ekeola remained the biological father of the fourth child.
Meanwhile, the court president, Mr. Emmaunel Shokunle, adjourned the case till September 19, 2012 for further hearing.

Photos – Unbelievable, Nokia Cell Phone that Runs on Coca Cola

cellphone-coke

Designer Daizi Zheng brings us an interesting concept: a Nokia phone that runs on Coca-Cola. Yes, you read right. It may sound incredible, but it seems this eco-friendly cellphone model really works.

Biofuels are being talked about more and more as a future major fuel source, but one developer has decided to take matters into his own hands and modify a cell phone to use them now.
Daizi Xheng, a Chinese developer, wanted to find an alternative to the lithium-ion batteries we all rely on today because they are both bad for the environment and don’t last that long between charges.
His solution was to modify a Nokia cell phone to use a bio-battery instead. The fuel source could be any sugary solution, but he chose to use that well-known soft drink you can find just about anywhere in the world – Coca-Cola.

Okada Rider Forced To Suck Breast Of Passenger Accused of Indecent Dressing in Osun State

abuse of okada by sas

In a bid to curtail crime and indecency in Osun State, the state of the virtuous (ipinle omoluabi); the state government constituted a military task force known as SAS(Swift Action Squad) to enforce the ‘omoluabi’ principles in the state.
It happened in Osogbo, the Osun State capital few weeks ago, but I didn’t believe until I heard an eye witness report few days ago.
A lady was caught dressed indecently by SAS. According to the eye witness, her blouse covered just half of her breast. She was asked to dismount the motorcycle she was riding on, and the Okada rider was asked why he allowed such nudity on his motorcycle. They were both punished by the Swift Action Squad (SAS).
No one would say much about a punishment meted out to someone dressed provocatively in a society that doesn’t accommodate such dressing, but questions need to be asked when the okada rider is forced to suck his passenger’s breasts.
According to the eye witness, the lady was ordered to bring out her breast to the full glare of passersby since she was proudly flaunting it. As if that was not enough, she was ordered to breastfeed the okada rider. The okada rider pleaded with them stating his ongoing fast as the reason why he wouldn’t do what they wanted, but he had to oblige after he was whipped severally.
The state government has distanced itself from the actions of the task force and has encouraged citizens of the state to report any member of the task force that whip civilians. Whether actions would be taken against members of the task force that forced the breastfeeding remains to be seen. However, many inhabitants of Osogbo, the Osun State capital seem to be appreciative of the SAS’ s act as they believe it will curb indecent dressing.

Is Your Relationship Worth Fighting For?

black love remedy
Sometimes when a relationship has gone sour, our efforts are used trying to repair it, or “get it back”, while the best thing to do might be to look at things in a different perspective. Is the relationship worth fighting for or is it truly a lost cause.

There are a few things you can think about while trying to sort things through.
  • 1.) Is your partner still in love or still interested in pursuing the relationship. Sometimes when we lose a love we tend to dwell on what used to be, not on what the relationship is currently about. Of course it was good in the beginning, otherwise you wouldn’t have ended up together. But that stage of the relationship is not always an accurate measure. Its best to look at what is currently happening and evaluate how or why the situation is the way it is at this moment. Sometimes we fall head over heals with someone, then if things go bad, the memories of good times dominate what is really happening at the current time. If both of you are willing to work on your problems you have a good shot at working things out. If not, you need to ask yourself “Are you in love with the memory of the way things used to be, or are you truly happy at this moment”.
  • 2.) Do you realize if you do breakup the hurt will go away. There may be a lot of pain, resentment and jealousy right now, but trust me, if you are willing to move forward, it will pass. Ask yourself “Do I really want to be with someone who doesn’t want to be with me?” The answer should be “No”. If you’re up for the challenge, you will find love again. You deserve to be with someone who will love you back.
  • 3.) Imagine what a mutually loving relationship with someone should feel like. Is it what you have now? If not, maybe your current partner isn’t capable of having that with you for whatever reason. Do you really want to stay and pass up the chance to find true love?
  • 4.) Staying in a relationship for reasons other than love isn’t good for anyone. Some people, knowingly or unknowingly, stay in a relationship for the wrong reasons, such as having a roof over their heads, their bills are paid, they are afraid of being alone or a variety of other reasons. If this is you, you must realize you are a capable individual. Co-dependent relationships will not work. If you really want to lead a fulfilling life, take the steps to become self-sufficient, it can be a very empowering, incredible feeling.
  • 5.) Are you assuming what your partner is or is not feeling? Have you communicated with your partner or have they communicated with you. Sometimes our “inner voices” tell us things that are not true. You may believe that because someone is angry with you, they don’t want to pursue the relationship any longer. On the opposite end of the spectrum, you may believe someone is sending you signals that they do want to be with you or that certain gestures have hidden meaning. In other words, we believe what we want to, not the reality of the situation. Open communication is the only way to resolve these issues and is a necessary part of a loving relationship.
  • 6.) Are you willing to stay in a hurtful or abusive relationship until your partner breaks things off? Some people are so afraid of losing someone they will stay as long as possible no matter what the situation, or they simply are not strong enough to break up themselves.
Once you have seriously considered the above, you should have a pretty good idea where your relationship is headed. You need to be strong for yourself. Life does not end when a relationship does. If you are not happy and you are quite sure things are not going to work out, its time to move forward.
Just remember a couple of things. You deserve to be happy, no one person has the power to make or take your happiness. Only you control your happiness. If you need support seek out friends, family members or a professional. There are also plenty of self-help guides out there to guide you along the way, which ever path you choose.

Photo – Nigerian Woman Wakes Up In Mortuary 2 Days After Death

Woman Wakes Up In Mortuary

Miracles are still happening! Twenty-one-year-old Adora Ugwu is planning to be a soldier. She also wants to secure admission into one of the country’s tertiary institutions. She had put her hands on the plough of her latter dream by writing the last UMTE.

But, as she was going for the other one, she died. Two days after the lady wrote the examination, she was heading for her home state of Enugu for the recruitment into the Nigerian Army when the vehicle she was travelling had a head-on collision with a similar minibus.
The result: her death and that of 25 others who included four discharged members of batch B National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
Twenty of them including Adora reportedly died on the spot in headon collision involving two 15 passengers’ capacity buses, each, belonging separately to Peace Mass Transit Limited and the Enugu State Transport Company (ENTRACO). The buses had registration number BENUE – XB 504 TKP, ENUGU – XL 812 UWN respectively.
The ghastly crash occurred along Enugu- Markudi express road, at Amoka in Udi, Enugu State on June 20th. Immediately after the crash which was promptly reported to the Enugu State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) by its Delta State Sector Commander Lukas Ikpi who met the accident while travelling on the road, the dead including Adora were evacuated to Our Saviour Hospital morgue at 9th mile. But she was not meant to stay among the dead for long.
Two days after she had been confined to the mortuary. The parents had wept and mourned, most of them especially the mother was devastated, but the dead must be buried. And this was what Adora’s relative intended doing: bury her two day-old corpse. At the morgue, the attendants were putting in place all the deeds of mortification when suddenly there was a sound; a sneeze, it was. They looked around, then another one! Behold, the body being prepared for claim by the relatives had just sneezed.
The dead don’t sneeze, they reasoned. Adora, whose body was being prepared, is not dead after all. When Saturday Mirror asked her what she felt on her first realization of consciousness, she said: “I thought we were all sleeping. When I asked people around where I was, she said they said I had an accident.
“I cannot remember anything that happened when I was at the mortuary.” When Adora was discovered to be alive, her relative who had come to identify her was immediately called phoned the others from the morgue. Tears turned to felicitation. From the morgue she was later transferred to the Federal Orthopaedic Hospital in Enugu where is currently receiving treatment and spoke with Saturday Mirror.
Adora, told Saturday Mirror that she hails from Enugu state. She said she attended a secondary school in North-Bank Markudi, Benue State adding that she was in Benue to take her JAMB after which she was travelling down to Enugu for army recruitment when the accident occurred.

10 Red Flags In Dating Relationships

red flags in relationships

When starting a new relationship, many women (and men as well) tend to overlook some behaviors in their new partner that do not bode well for the future. Then, down the road, comes the exclamation ‘If I had only known…’.
As a Psychotherapist who has worked with mostly women and a few men in the field of Domestic Violence, during counseling sessions we can always trace back unpleasant and also dangerous character traits to the very start of the relationship.
Here are some ‘Red Flags’ to watch out for in a new partner.
  • He makes decisions about where to go with little or no input from you.
  • He belittles your opinion when the two of you are alone and may call you names.
  • He makes disparaging remarks about you in front of others and may talk about you as if you were not there.
  • He may be rough during love-making and make you engage in acts you do not like.
  • He does not want to spend time with your friends or family and insists you socialize with his people.
  • He will not acknowledge your areas of expertise and may put down what you do in the workplace – ignore any of your accomplishments.
  • He may openly flirt with other women and then accuse you of being jealous when you object.
  • He gets angry and loses his temper over trivialities. Stays angry for a long time and attempts to blame all arguments on you.
  • May hit walls when angry.
  • One of the main factors is that he comes on very strong in the beginning of your relationship – sweeps you off your feet – and wants an exclusive relationship too quickly. Many women feel flattered at the intensity of the man’s seeming need for an immediate connection and consequently overlook the inappropriateness of it. *This should not be confused with ‘love at first sight’ where one or both parties feel an instant connection – without any of the aforementioned behaviors.*
There are many other factors that could be listed – but if the man in your life begins displaying the above qualities – realize it will not get better, only worse. He will likely be unwilling to discuss his emotions openly and feel that women are the inferior sex.

Men of Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Lagos State Police Command, have arrested a self-acclaimed undergraduate of a university in the southeast alleged to be a member of an 11-man robbery gang. The police said they recovered a pistol and 82 bullets from him.

The suspect, Nnagbo Emeka John, 23, who claimed to be a 100-level student of the Department of Education Foundation of the institution, said he came to Lagos to visit his friend (name withheld), who lodged him in a hotel at Mazamaza near Mile 2 in Lagos.

He stated that his friend asked him out one night but the outing ended up as a robbery operation.  On the same day, he confessed that the gang carried out four operations within Lagos and Ogun states.
The suspect, according to the police, was arrested in a bushy area at Ejigbo, Lagos on 19 August, where he and other members of the gang had allegedly gone to share their loot.
During his arrest an English pistol and 82 live ammunition were found on him.
Speaking to us, a source at the SARS said: “While armed with one AK47, one English pistol and two locally-made pistols, they robbed a hotel in Lagos. They also robbed at Akute, Ogun state and came back to Lagos on the same day to rob two popular hotels at Mafoluku, Oshodi.
“The suspect was arrested after they had shared their loot, while nine other members of the gang who were from Ogun state went back to their base.  The suspect, who was not familiar with the state was arrested while his friend escaped.”
Nnagbo, who claimed to be ignorant of his friend’s business said: “I came to Lagos on 8 August, for holiday, to see a friend who is also from my village. He lodged me in a hotel at old Ojo Road, Mazamaza. He never told me that he was into armed robbery; he only told me that he sells fridge spare parts.
“On 19 August, he told me that we shall be going out with some friends.  As we entered his friends’ car,  I saw a police gun (AK47). I started shivering but he told me that I should not worry, that they would not kill me.
“We first robbed at a hotel in Lagos. Because I do not know Lagos, I do not know the name of the place. We later moved to Akute, Ogun state, where we robbed a man in his house and collected his Lexus Jeep and some other valuables. Then we came back to Lagos and robbed two hotels.
“On that day I was not with a stable mind, as I was not comfortable but my friend told me not to worry. I was arrested after they had shared the loot and nine other gang members from Ogun state had gone back.
“I was not given anything from the loot. They said it was my first operation and I did not participate actively; and that my friend should give me part of his share. The pistol and the ammunition were kept in my bag by my friend who escaped when policemen accosted us and arrested me.”
The officer in-charge of the squad, Mr. Abba Kyari, a Superintendent of Police, said the suspect will be charged to court as soon as investigation is completed.
In a related incident, the State Investigation Bureau,(SIB), Lagos, has arrested 18 suspected armed robbers at a notorious brothel, popularly called Agbole, in Ejigbo area, Lagos State Southwest Nigeria.
The police recovered 82 live ammunitions, 0.9mm, four AK47 rifles, one baretta American pistol, two digital cameras and 16 mobile phones from the suspects.
A source said their arrest followed a tip off to the police by  residents of the area who suspected the activities of criminals who were using the place as a hideout and a take off base.
It was learnt that the police stormed the place last Thursday and arrested those smoking indian hemp, gambling, prostitution and others.
It was gathered that when the police searched some rooms rented by the prostitutes, they discovered some arms and live ammunition and valuable items suspected to have been stolen from victims.
Investigations also revealed that the police knew that the place has been existing for long and they thrived because the owners of the Pako brothel used to bribe the police daily.
findings revealed that some police officers attached to Rapid Response Squard, RRS, usually trooped to the area to collect bribe  on daily basis.
A source disclosed that the officers who usually visited in batches,  usually sign a record book provided by the hotel management to collect either N500 or N1,000 per batch.
He said each time they refused to give the police money, they usually threatened the operators of the brothel that their girls will be arrested.
“They always come here to collect money from us.  Often times, even RRS from Ikeja  come  and we give them N500  per group.
“At times, four or six teams come and  collect money from us daily.
“Each time we refuse to give them money, they  arrest our girls and other customers,”  he said.
The source claimed that they do not sell indian hemp, saying that some of the customers who usually come to the place  to patronise them smoke marijuana and they have to allow them in order to do their business.
When we contacted police sources at SARS Ikeja who have now taken over the matter, their leader was not around to comment on the matter.
Sources told us that SARS have commenced investigation into the matter.
The Lagos State  Police  Command Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, could not be reached because her phone was switched off.
The residents in the area confirmed the incident and told our correspondents that normal business has since resumed at the place.

Nigeria’s First Lady Patience Jonathan Hospitalized In Germany

patience jonathan sick

Nigeria’s First Lady, Mrs. Patience Jonathan, has been in a hospital in Germany in the last four days, Abuja State House sources have told us, undergoing treatment for food poisoning.

The sources say Mrs. Jonathan, who is also a Permanent Secretary in the Bayelsa State civil service, was airlifted to the hospital by an air ambulance in midweek under emergency medical conditions.
Presidency sources stated that the emergency airlift departed for Wisbanden, Germany, but it is not clear if her treatment was being undertaken in that city.  They said she was only able to speak earlier today, four days after her arrival, because the illness had been so severe that she lost her voice.
Our sources could not say when she will return to the country.  Nigeria’s political leaders and their families routinely seek expensive medical attention abroad, an irony occasioned by their failure to develop the same facilities at home.  In the past few years, two former First Ladies have died on foreign hospital beds.

Wedding Day Disaster – Groom Collapses, Pregnant Woman and Six-year-old Son Dead

wedding day tragedy
According to the story, confirmed by Superintendent of Police, Mr Peter A.K. Ayirezang, the Mamprobi District Police Commander, around 6 p.m. on August 25, 2012, the driver was driving a Mercedes Benz saloon car with registration number GT 9291 U from Laterbiokorshie towards Korle Bu carrying his friend, Botwe.

When two lovebirds decided to tie the nuptial knot last Saturday, little did they know that the day will turn disastrous and bring them pain and anxiety.

The newly married couple’s day took a sad twist when the bridegroom, Isaac Botwe, collapsed shortly after the wedding ceremony, and the vehicle conveying him to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital knocked down and killed a pregnant woman and her six-year-old son.
The incident has resulted in the arrest of the driver of the vehicle, Joseph Agyare.
Mr Ayirezang said Agyare, who was rushing Botwe to the hospital, upon reaching a section of the road at Mamprobi Sempe, knocked down a 35-year-old woman, Beatrice Asiedu, and her son, Joseph Quaye, who were crossing the road.
He said the two sustained serious injuries and were rushed together with Botwe to the hospital, but mother and son were pronounced dead on arrival.
Mr Ayirezang said while Botwe was still on admission at the hospital, Agyare was arraigned before court and remanded in police custody.
